I met Summer a few years ago when we worked together in St. Pete. She is someone who’s now grown to become one of my dearest friends!! We went through breakups, new dates, disaster dates…you name it, we experienced it! That is until she met her amazing husband, Doug. His career in the military (he’s a pilot for the Navy), moved him from Tampa to Virginia, where she later moved. Doug left for one of his longest deployments right after Thanksgiving this year; so, what better time than to plan a surprise trip to Virginia.
Sum’s other BFF’s, Rachel and Tammy, had the perfect idea…and you know I was totally on board!! Sum had no idea what we had planned for her 30th birthday. She thought this would be just another weekend…but her first surprise came when her mom and sis flew in. And then we showed up the next day, hid in her house and gave her a huge surprise when she walked in the door.
Thanks to all the girls who made this trip so memorable. And thank you to Summer. For always being my biggest supporter on my journey to become a photographer. Your love and constant support don’t go unnoticed. You just rock 🙂
