The first words that come to mind when I was gathering photos for Trang and Matt’s blog was – bright and beautiful, meaningful and sweet and full of tears (okay more than a few words). I met Trang and Matt when they were visiting St. Pete during one of their trips to sunny Florida from the D.C. area. Matt is originally from Florida, so it was the perfect place for a wedding. These two busy, hard-working Washingtonians made enough time to visit prospective photographers while they were down….and that’s when they won my heart! I was sooo excited they asked me to capture their engagement session and upcoming wedding.
I loved how Trang and Matt incorporated both of their traditional customs into the wedding. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place 🙂 And I was brought to tears during Trang’s speech to her parents. She spoke in her native language, and even though I couldn’t understand the words, the emotions spoke for themselves. Their wedding wasn’t about all the fuss… but more about their families uniting on such a beautiful day. I’m honored to have captured this special moment between these two souls.
