He’s a little bit of city and she’s a little bit of country, but together Dax and Deanna are a perfect fit.
When I met Deanna a few months ago, I couldn’t wait to photograph her big day. It could have been the mention of the gorgeous location (Davis Island Garden Club), or the “pink and gold vintage juicy couture” theme, or the chance to work with such a sweet, beautiful bride 🙂 All I knew was that their classic “South Beach” style wedding would be absolutely gorgeous. And trust me, they didn’t disappoint!!
Custom designed cupcakes, an ice cream bar, a photobooth, mason jars filled with spring flowers, white leather couches…. Get the idea?? Give it up to Staci Mandikas of UNIQUE Event Design, LLC, along with all the fabulous vendors, for taking an idea and creating a picture perfect wedding. I was in love!!
Deanna and Dax’s wedding was a day full of smiles, laughter and a whole lot of partying!! This group knows how to have fun!! The day was beautiful and I’m so excited to share their day with all of you 🙂
Deanna was rocking it in these shoes!! I would have never made it!
Thanks to my awesome 2nd photographer, Erica Ruess, for this idea. I was a little nervous, but we pulled it off!!!
FishHawk did such a great job on the flowers. They fit perfectly with the pink couture theme Deanna was looking for.
First look…
Such a gorgeous couple 🙂
I couldn’t get enough of this bouquet!!
Patiently waiting for her dad… She was so calm the entire day … Love this photo of Deanna.
So sweet 🙂 They were both so excited!!
Dax made this swing for Deanna and hung it the morning of the wedding 🙂
The ceremony was full of moments of laughter. Like this shot below. After walking up to the “alter” Dax went ahead and kissed Deanna. Why wait to be pronounced husband and wife right?? 🙂
I’m so glad we had a chance to grab shots of the couple. They truly are a perfect fit 🙂
I noticed the photo below at the bride and groom’s table. I later asked Dax about the story behind the photo. The story brought me to tears. His name is Wes Urso, and he was Dax’s best friend. While serving in the Middle East, he lost his life. He was truly a hero. In all the years Dax knew him, he said Wes never asked for anything and yet he gave everything. “He would have loved our day, and we were honored to celebrate his life on the same day Deanna and I began ours.”
The best man/maid of honor speeches were unbelievably funny. What a great group!!!!
I loved the setup for the food. How creative!!!
Chicken and Waffles!!!
A friend of the couple made this “caricature” piece of Dax and Deanna! How cute is this!!
The custom cupcakes by Frosting Etc. were to die for!!
The white and pink setup was perfect!! I felt like I had entered a chic nightclub in South Beach!!
This wedding kept me smiling and laughing all night long. Dax was SUCH a good sport (and even broke into dance after the cupcake exchange!!).
Sneaking a few shots in the photobooth!!
Congratulations you two!! I had such an amazing time at your wedding and I wish you both a life full of love and laughter!!!
