Hi, I’m Rana!

Ohhh the infamous “about me” section. I think any photographer would have to say this is the part they struggle with the most. Because who really wants to talk about themselves? 😉 Hopefully as I write, you can get a sneak peek into me, my personality and why I do what I do.

I have been a photographer now for 8 years. I wasn’t one of those young kids who always dreamed of being a photographer; it came later in life…. much later to be exact (when I was 29 years old!!). But once it hit me, there was no turning back. I worked a full time job for 3 years while pursuing photography and was so blessed to quit the corporate world and pursue photography as my full time passion over 5 years ago. What a trip it has been!!

I figure what better way to tell you about me, than with a few short sentences 🙂

I love my family. My husband, my almost 3 year old son Shea and my adorable 1 year old Cameron.

I love life. I have always looked at the glass as half full (no matter what sticky situation I may have endured in my life). I attribute this to my amazing parents who gave up everything and moved to the United States when I was a little girl. If they could do this, then I can do anything in life (while always continuing to be grateful).

I value everything around me – one of the most important people in my life is my loving and supporting husband. He supported me during my “omg, I need to quit this corporate job!!” days. And we were just dating!! (2 months to be exact 🙂

I can’t imagine doing anything else right now in my life. This is my love, my life and my passion.

My style of photography could be described as romantic, bright and emotional. I love light. I love my couples and I love emotion.

My fears are letting people down. I always strive to do my best. I know we’re human.. but sometimes I want to be super human!! 😉

I love my coffee in the morning. (although it’s always cold by the time I drink it!)

I love having my parents close to me.

I’m a “to do” list fanatic…. I update it a few times a day haha
